Opis:
Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon to druga część wydanej tylko na Xboksa 360 strzelaniny z perspektywy trzeciej osoby. Tym razem grę przygotował inny deweloper – studio Sandlot zastąpił zespół Vicious Cycle, odpowiedzialny wcześniej między innymi za grę Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond. Ponadto tytuł trafił również na PC i PlayStation 3.
Ponownie wcielamy się w członka specjalnego oddziału, który musi stawić czoła siłom inwazyjnym kosmitów, składającym się głównie z dużych rozmiarów kreatur przypominających ziemskie robaki i pająki. Tematyka gry bardzo przypomina więc pierwowzór, gdzie również zmagaliśmy się z wielkimi poczwarami.
Do dyspozycji oddano nam ponad 300 rodzajów broni i cztery rodzaje pancerza, który możemy ulepszać. Wśród dostępnych trybów rozgrywki oprócz zwykłej kampanii znalazł się też Survival Mode, gdzie sześciu graczy musi odpierać ataki coraz liczniejszych grup przeciwników – całość przypomina sławną Hordę z Gears of War 2. Oprócz tego główną przygodę ukończymy nawet w trzy osoby dzięki opcji sieciowej kooperacji.
