Problem with writing a formal letter

Hi everyone
I have to write a formal letter, but I have problems with some sentences. Are they good?
1. "Could you tell me whether in bathroom is a bath or only a shower?"
2."I would be grateful if you could tell me whether in house a telephone is"
3."I would like to know whether there a place for jogging is."
I know that sentence no. 2 is bad, but I have no idea how to write it. I hope you can help me

1. Could you tell me whether there is a bath or only a shower in the bathroom?
2. I would be grateful if you could tell me whether the house has a telephone.
3. I would like to know whether there is a place for jogging.

Instead of "whether" you could use if, cause no one uses whether anymore.

That's pretty good.. You might want to keep the same structure, though. As you can see, sentence 1 and 2 use "there is" structure so to make it more coherent you might write: "I would be grateful if you could tell me whether there is a phone in the house."
