Opis:
'Hamlet' Kennetha Branagha to kolejna ekranizacja szekspirowskiej sztuki. To nie pierwsza przygoda Aktora z adaptacją dzieł Szekspira - w 1993 roku wyreżyserował 'Wiele hałasu o nic'. Akcja filmu rozgrywa się w dziewiętnastym stuleciu. Po śmierci króla Hamleta, jego żona - Gertruda wychodzi za mąż za jego brata - Klaudiusza. Do kraju wraca syn zmarłego króla, noszący imię ojca. Jest zrozpaczony jego śmiercią oraz zgorszony postępowaniem matki. Na zamku nagle zaczyna pojawiać się duch króla, który próbuje wymóc na synu zemstę. Młody Hamlet ma jednak wątpliwości odnośnie do tego, co powiedziała mu zjawa ojca. Dramat opowiada o śmierci, zemście, namiętności, zdradzie i wynikających z nich wielkich napięciach psychicznych. Film Branagha cechuje doskonała obsada aktorska (na przykład Branagh, Winslet, Lemmon).
