Egafd synopsis

Love Inferno is the story of a smouldering family conflict which ends in disaster.

Dominique and Monique are brother and sister. Their father Alfons has died recently and their mother, Lena, has married Richard, an unsympathic older guy whom they dislike. Richard's affair with Belinda, the family's maid does not make things easier. Lena, who's infected with class snobbery, doesn't tolerate her son's girlfriend Gaby. This is definitely not a harmonious family life.

The story begins with Alfons's funeral. In the next scene Dominique and Gaby are standing on a balcony. Through her binoculars she watches the older neighbor having sex with his blonde secretary. Meanwhile in the living-room, Richard phones Gerard, an estate agent and golf teacher of his stepdaughter. He wants to sell the house.

When blonde Belinda arrives he unbuttons her blouse and caresses her breasts. But he can't go further because Lena and Monique suddenly arrive at home. When Lena meets Gaby she asks her to leave the house immediately. At lunch the strained relations between the family members become more and more evident.

Dominique meets Gaby at the sand dunes. But they are not alone. Jealous Andy, her former lover and two of his friends trap them. While Dominique is knocked down Gaby has sex with Andy. When he's finished the other two guys plug her holes too.

Dominique awakens in the hospital with his sister sitting by his bed. She slides her hand under the blanket where everything seems to be alright. When she's gone Dominique becomes active. Through a ventilating grid in his room he observes the doctor 'examining' the black nurse. Suddenly his mother arrives accompanied by Gloria who's a teacher of astrology. He pretends not to remember her but we have seen him baring and touching her ass cheeks at the cemetery. You know..mothers can be so curious!

Meanwhile Monique gets private lessons from Samantha, a history schoolmistress, who turns out to be an expert in pussy licking. But we also learn from her that 'love inferno' is not only a stupid movie title, but an historical sex technique invented by A...(you won't believe it) Education is suddenly disturbed by the butler who's a 'client' begging for sexual humiliation. No problem! When Mr. and Mrs Smith arrive she gives him a fresh golden shower which is really delicious.

Meanwhile Dominique visits Gloria. She has just given a lecture to her students and now focuses all her spiritual and sexual energy on him. Even Lin the curious cutie watching them can learn a lot from her.

Outdoors Gerard teaches Monique the golf swing but he's not only interested in golf holes. He seems to be a lousy lover so she wants more ... much more! Bondage sex!

In the next scene her dreams come true. Blindfolded and chained to the bed she gets fucked by two older guys. The one who sprays his cum over her face is a 'good' friend - her stepfather! On the next day she tells the rest of the family about his perversions and the situation escalates dramatically. Dominique knocks him down and leaves the house together with his sister. Lena also drives away in her Mercedes. Only Belinda understands him and her nice tits help him to get over things.

Meanwhile Lena has a breakdown but the two mechanics are much more interested in her legs than in repairing her car. Monique and Dominique find the deserted car on the side of the road. In the very last scene they discover her but the spectators don't see her. Just her moaning can be heard. --GK

My notes

Among the lesser known Lasse Braun feature films, this is one I didn't even know existed until quite recently. And what a nice surprise indeed!

A real treat for fans of Catherine Ringer. Although in a minor role, Emmanuelle Rivière really shines here too. Emmanuelle looks ultra sexy, especially when she walks down the stairs nude save for garter belt and stockings. It's a shame that what appears to be leading into a sex scene with Emmanuelle and Jean-Louis Vattier never materializes.

Evelyne Manta is the sexy Asian girl who plays Gaby, the girlfriend of Dominique whom his mother scorns and warns her son to stay away from. He ignores his mother's warning and pays for it when Gaby's former boyfriend and two friends beat him up, then gang bang Gaby as he watches. This role is quite a switch from the role Evelyne played in Je suis une belle salope (with Brigitte Lahaie), in which she plays a much sweeter and more respectable character.

Chantal Virapin has a hot and kinky scene with Jacques Gatteau as nurse and doctor, spied on by Dominique through the air vent. Chantal looks really hot in her white lacy lingerie and her feet up in the stirrups. Gwenda Farnel doesn't get much chance to show her sexy side here -- we hear her moaning in the last scene, but we never actually see her having sex. The two mechanics -- who stop to "help" her when she has a flat tire -- are played by the same two guys who tag-teamed and DP'ed her in Body Love.

This was clearly made around the same time as Body Love. The two films share some of the same sets, and many of the same performers.

The big mansion that served as the main set for Body Love re-appears in this film as the building where Gloria is teaching her astrology class, and to which Dominique rides his motorbike to meet her. Apparently this mansion is the Castle Groeneveld, in the Netherlands.

I have some additional trivia on the film:
It was shot in Holland with a mostly French cast. On the net I found the story of one Janosh, who was hired as an extra for the movie (through a prominent Dutch agency). He tells us the movie is shot at the Castle Groeneveld in Baarn. Nowadays it is the National Centre for Nature and Landscape (owned by the Ministry of Agriculture); at the time of filming (September 1976, according to Janosh) it was owned by the state and used by artists (and in dilapidated state). The big house where Gwenda Farnel arrives in her (Dutch) Mercedes car is definitely this castle.

Janosh writes he was hired as an extra in "a French movie", which turned out to be Body Love by Lasse Braun [sic; actually the film was Love Inferno]. He was screened for his knowledge of French. He was then asked to memorize the text:
"Il nous est indispensable de trouver une solution positive avant 1984 (mille neuf cent quatre vingt quatre) pour eviter le cataclysme et pour utiliser d´une maniere benefique cette tension éléctromagnétique." (which is a surprising line for the movie in question)

The scene he took part in was at a funeral. He was asked to be part of the group or mourners. During the funeral an actress was taken from behind, without the rest of the attendants noticing... (I did not find this scene in the movie; it must have ended up on the cutting room floor...)

It turns out that this funeral is the opening scene in Love Inferno. And the line that Janosh was asked to memorize seems to fit with the astrological theme that Gloria talks about to her class.
