Spider-Man ratuje ludzi przed różnymi kryminalistami dlatego, że radioaktywny pająk ugryzł go w ręke dzięki czemu zyskał cechy pająka. Peter (bo tak ma na imię) postanawił wykorzystać to na zapasach. Pewnego razu magik z cyrku w którym Peter występował, obrabował kasę owego cyrku. Peter nie przejmował się tym. Lecz do jego domu włamał się bandyta. Wujek Ben chciał go powstrzymać, ale złodziej był uzbrojony. Peter ścigał go aż do magazynów, i okazało się że to ów magik, który obrabował kasę cyrku. Od tej pory Peter walczy z przestępcami i nie zaniedbuje obowiązków.
