2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa to specjalna edycja jednej z najbardziej znanych serii piłkarskich, poświęcona XIX Mistrzostwom Świata w Piłce Nożnej, których gospodarzem jest Republiki Południowej Afryki. Firma EA Sports tworzy i wydaje gry poświęcone największej imprezie futbolowej na świecie od 1998 roku.
Jak zwykle produkcja jest wiernym i licencjonowanym odtworzeniem mistrzostw, zawierając dodatkowo wiele odniesień do historii piłki nożnej. Twórcy odwzorowali wszystkie charakterystyczne elementy imprezy, w tym przede wszystkim 10 głównych stadionów i wiele pomniejszych obiektów sportowych. Gracze mogą wcielić się w każdą ze 199 drużyn narodowych i przejść drogę od kwalifikacji aż po sam finał. Gra posiada ponadto opcję rozgrywania klasycznych spotkań eliminacyjnych, a także tryb Captain Your Country, czyli znaną już z UEFA Euro 2008 opcję kierowania kilkoma graczami zespołu naraz, za pośrednictwem jednego, sterowanego przez gracza zawodnika.
Naturalnie w grze zawarto mnóstwo nowości w kwestii samej mechaniki rozgrywki. Tym razem producenci skupili się przede wszystkim na wprowadzeniu zmian w zakresie reakcji piłkarzy i bramkarzy, oddawania strzałów, egzekwowania rzutów wolnych, wykonywania podań. Oznacza to, że w przypadku pojedynków solowych przeciwnik nieraz zaskoczy nas zwodami i sztuczkami a nasi zawodnicy będą sprawniej reagowali na sytuację. Oprócz tego autorzy podrasowali także system zachowania piłki.
Jedną z najciekawszych rzeczy w 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa jest możliwość rozegrania Mistrzostw Świata w sieci. Zabawa rozpoczyna się już w fazie grupowej i pozwala zawalczyć o wirtualne mistrzostwo z graczami z całego świata. Dzięki temu zwycięstwo chociażby polskiej reprezentacji staje się znacznie bardziej realne, bo zależy tylko od umiejętności gracza. Oczywiście może zdarzyć się, że dwóch uczestników wybierze tę samą drużynę państwową, co jednak zostało przez twórców odpowiednio rozwiązane.
Ważną rzeczą w tej edycji jest wierne odwzorowanie realiów i stylistyki całych mistrzostw oraz oddanie specyficznego klimatu panującego na imprezie. Takie wrażenia zapewnia między innymi nowa kamera, która czasami prezentuje rozemocjonowanych fanów futbolu zgromadzonych na trybunach. Kibice tworzą teraz gigantyczne flagi państwowe, a nad boiskiem przed meczami wybuchają fajerwerki i fruwają confetti w barwach zespołów.
Instalacja
Extract the game on your desired path, but not on the same folder with FIFA 10.
Enter on it's folder, and make sure you create a shortcut to "2010 FIFA WORLD CUP Launcher".
After that, put it on the desktop, but don't run it.
You'll find in the World Cup folder 2 registries called "WC.reg" & WC(2).reg.
If you have a 32-bit Windows version click & apply the "WC.reg".
If you have a 64-bit Windows version click & apply the "WC(2).reg".
You'll also find a folder called "WCSA 10" there.Move it to "My ********s" folder, located in your Windows partition.
Open the game using "2010 FIFA WORLD CUP LAUNCHER" Start button !
DON'T START THE GAME WITH WCSA10, because the game won't work properly (you can't exit, unless you close the game from Processes).
Also, don't forget to avoid alt-tabbing the game while playing, because:
-if you alt - tab the game in the menus, some stadium turfs won't be displayed correctly
-if you alt - tab the game while playing a match, an "Send Error Report" / "Don't Send" error will appear, you being forced to exit the game.
